Field Workers Organizing Sharing Session for Baby Shower Families

A couple who works for All Girls Allowed in China is organizing a sharing session early next month for some of the families who have graduated from the Baby Shower Program. Around five families have decided to participate and the couple has also invited another worker of ours to come and share her testimony. The topics of the event will revolve around sexual purity and the harmful effects of abortion.

This is a wonderful opportunity to share the Choose Life Message with these families and invite Jesus to open their hearts and minds to Him. Please pray that the Lord would prepare the hearts of our field workers and the participating families and that He would watch over the security of the event venue.

Field Worker Suffering from Kidney Stones

We recently recieved news that one of our brothers in China went to the hospital with a severe stomach ache and learned that he has kidney stones. The stones are very painful, and while the hospital gave him painkillers that have helped a little bit, he is seeking a larger hospital that can give him more complete care.

Please pray that God would heal our brother and give him rest and refreshment.

UPDATE: Sister Wu Gives Birth to A Healthy Baby Boy!

Sister Wu was struggling with her pregnancy because the wound from her previous c-section had not properly healed and her baby was causing the wound to hurt. Doctors were not sure that Sister Wu could carry her baby full term because of this, but a few days ago she delivered a healthy baby boy via c-section. Both the mother and child are doing well and Sister Wu says "thank you for your prayers!"

Couple Expecting Twins, Persuaded by Doctor to Keep Them

Mr. and Mrs. Xia live with their 2-year-old daughter in a remote rural village in China. When Mrs. Xia found out that she was pregnant with a second child, she went to the hospital with her husband to schedule an appointment for an abortion. The doctor who saw them is a follower of Christ. Before Mrs. Xia made her appointment, the doctor had learned about the Baby Shower Program from our workers and had already secretly persuaded several couples not to have abortions. Some of these couples are now enrolled in the Baby Shower Program. After the appointment, the doctor caught up with Mr. and Mrs. Xia outside the hospital and advised them to keep the child. She gave the couple one of our worker's phone numbers.

"When we heard the news and came to Mrs. Xia's village, she was already 9 months pregnant." said one of our field workers. "She said she is living under enormous pressure. She is pregnant with twins, and already knows that one of them is a girl."

Our field workers told this family that they are followers of Christ and that they want to help them, but Mr. and Mrs. Xia seemed not to care. Having three children will place this family in danger of punishment from the government. Please pray for this family and their twin unborn babies. Pray that Mr. and Mrs. Xia would accept Christ and find joy and peace in the midst of this hard time. Also pray that their household will be protected from government officials seeking to bring them harm.

UPDATE: Family Faces Sickness, Financial Hardship, and Isolation from Relatives

Original prayer request: Wu is a pregnant mother in our Baby Shower Program who recently experienced a series of tragic events. Please read about her story below:

Wu and her husband Gao are two missionaries who received God’s calling to serve in a region far away from their hometown. Recently, the doctors told Wu that it is too risky to carry her new pregnancy to term because her wound from the last c-section has not healed properly. Having heard this, Wu’s family wants her to undergo an abortion. Although Wu has no intention to abort her child, she nonetheless feels threatened by the potential risks of giving birth.

To make matters worse, the doctors diagnosed a heart problem in Wu’s 13-month-old daughter. As a result, Wu and Gao had to give up their missionary positions to look after their sick daughter at home. Without a stable income and sufficient savings, Wu and Gao are having a hard time affording their rent and their daughter’s medical expenses. Gao once tried to work at a factory owned by one of his church brothers, but since he had to leave work frequently to take care of his wife and daughter, he was forced to give up the job two months later.

The family now lives in deprived conditions with limited food and resources and there is nowhere that they can go. If Wu returns to her hometown, her family members will probably force her to abort her child. On the other hand, Gao’s mother is a member of a heretical sect that upholds distorted teachings of Christianity, so seeking assistance from her would only complicate matters.

Wu’s daughter is having her next heart checkup in five months, and the due date for Wu’s second child is quickly approaching. With their lives struck by health problems, financial hardship, and family disapproval, Wu and Gao are becoming more and more fearful of the future.

Workers at All Girls Allowed are trying their best to improve this family’s situation. Meanwhile, please pray that God would bring healing to Wu and her daughter, and that God would provide the physical, emotional, and spiritual support necessary for Wu’s family to overcome the challenges they are facing.

Update: Wu and Gao live in a rural village. The village hospitals do not offer pregnancy services, so Wu cannot give birth there. The couple have moved into the city where major hospitals are close by, but delivering babies is expensive. It costs more than $10,000 yuan in urban hospitals, so Wu and Gao are worried about their financial prospects. In addition to that, Wu's baby is big and is causing pain on the opening from her previous C-section. Doctors are suggesting that Wu give birth through surgery this month before the date the child is due.

Please pray that Wu would have a safe and painless delivery of her baby, whether it is through another C-section or a natural birth. Pray that both the mother and child would be healthy and that God would provide for Wu and Gao's hospital bills.

UPDATE: Pastors Five-Month-Old Daughter Battles Serious Blood Disease

Original prayer request: One of our workers' pastor and his family are going through a difficult time because their five month old girl was recently diagnosed with a serious blood disease. This Friday, the baby, baby Lin, will recieve and MRI to see if she has a bone infection or not. If ther bone is not infected, she will be released next week, but if it is she will have to remain in the hospital for another six weeks. The family is worried about baby Lin and the medical costs are significant. Please pray for total healing for the baby, peace for the family, and provision for all medical costs.

Update #1: The MRI showed that the baby Lin's bone is inflamed, and unfortunately she was diagnosed with a bone infection. She will have to stay in the hospital for at least 5 more weeks. Her disease has the potential to be very serious, but it could also get better.  The doctor said within these 5 weeks it will be good news if her inflammation can be controlled and not spread. However, if the infection is recurrent and repeats, it could cause bone cancer and the doctor would have to amputate baby Lin's arm.

God is our great Healer, He can do this! Please continue to earnestly pray for this little girl and her family. Pray that the infection would completely disappear and that the baby will be able to return home to her family.
Update #2: Baby Lin's infection is under control and she was released from the hospital! Praise God! Additionally, God provided for the family's medical bills through the generosity of local ministries. The local churches reported increased unity and peace among church members after they agreed in prayer for baby Lin. We praise God for these answers to prayer and continue to lift up baby Lin for total healing.
