Help for Little Bean

Remember Little Bean, the three-year-old girl trafficked as a child bride, then rescued by All Girls Allowed 7 months later?

Now Bean is safe and healing in the arms of her parents, but the story is not finished.

Bean's parents spent everything they had to try and find their daughter, and took on heavy debt, stopping at
nothing to find her.

Nine traffickers were arrested during Bean's rescue.  Trials started in July for these criminals in county court, but because of emotional and financial damages to Bean's family, they have demanded civil damages against the traffickers.  After 2 months of waiting, the family has finally received word that the courts will review the case.

From our field workers on the ground:

"Human traffickers not only should answer for their criminal charges, but also the energy, effort and resources families expended in search of their missing children. It would be an effective deterrent to traffickers in the future to bankrupt the ones on trial."

This is a landmark case--the first of its kind in China.  A victory that helps Bean's family would be a significant victory in the battle against child trafficking.
